Meet the Team!
Maisue is a Butte County local born and raised. She attended Chico State and graduated in 2016 with her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Design and Asian Studies with a minor in Creative Writing. Maisue started at Butte College in 2017 as a Recruitment and Outreach Technician before transitioning into the Homeless and Housing Insecurity Pilot grant and then as the Basic Needs Coordinator overseeing all basic needs programs out of the Roadrunner Hub. Her lifelong goal is to publish a novel or book series around Hmong legends or history.
Daniel was born in Paradise, California and received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Social Work from Chico State. Since 2018, he has been working with students to obtain a higher education and assist students in reaching their goals. As a social worker he strives to be a mediator for those who have not found their voice and provide a safe place for students.
Carrie was born in Lodi, California and received her Associate’s Degree from Butte College and her Bachelor's Degree from Chico State. She started her professional career here over 25 years ago helping students in the Job Placement Office. She’s passionate about eliminating hunger so our students can thrive inside and outside the classroom.
Barry was born in King County Washington and is a Californian nomad. He is working on his Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology to help rebuild his new claimed town of Paradise. He has been an Army Military Police officer, worked for Google, and was a fully licensed HVAC repair man and installer. He loves his job helping at the Roadrunner Hub to help assist those in need that are working towards their future at Butte College.
Lalo was born in Kings Beach, California. He is currently studying Kinesiology. He aspires to become an Athletic trainer and help athletes recover from injuries. He worked at the Student Success Service Center last semester and is excited to start the new semester working at the hub!
Mario Romo is currently studying Criminal Justice and Medical Office Administration at Butte College. He aspires to use his knowledge of both fields to help victims of crime and abuse. Mario’s been working at the Roadrunner Hub for the Homeless and Housing Insecurity Pilot grant since Spring 2022 and will be completing his final units this semester. He has a dog named Nylah and enjoys learning new things.
Jesus is a Chico Local and is currently focusing on his major in Biology. One day he dreams of working either in a lab or in a hospital. Jesus has been working at the Roadrunner Hub for the Homeless and Housing Insecurity Pilot grant since Spring 2022. When he isn’t studying, he is actively traveling the North coast in search of the next adventure.
